Life as I knew it...

Have I ever told you about my husband? He is a helper and a giver. He is the strong silent type. Well, until he gets to know ya. Then he's talkative. He loves to work w/ kids and if he could choose another career, he might be a teacher. Although he does love being a chemist.Esp. when he gets to teach kids chemistry.

For awhile now I have been coasting along. I am right in the middle of having some issues diagnosed and treated. And my loving man picks up the slack. Many times he comes home for lunch and fixes us all something to eat. Many times he makes supper. He is so generous and kind. Whenever he makes himself something to drink, he always makes me one too.

Sunday morning he woke up and starting getting everyone ready for church. That's when, in an instant our life took another interesting turn. He slipped on a plastic bag that was on the floor.

He broke his ankle in 2 places. Tuesday we see the specialist to see if he will need surgery. Right now he has a splint. The hard part is that his "good" leg isn't very strong due to a previous injury. He can hardly get in and out of the wheel chair. We are staying at my inlaws for now and I don't expect to update very quickly.

God is good and I feel the prayers of all of our family and friends. And I am taking pretty good care of him, if I do say so myself. He has been a good influence on me.

Sorry to hear about your husband. How awful for both of you!
