I was mindlessly watching some celeb show about some star possibly dating her co-star and I got to thinkin'...
That beautiful girl is still looking for Mr. Right and I have been happily married for 14 years??!!! This pic is a close up of my face during an allergic reaction to something.
Obviously, it takes more than a pretty face...
I sure think about blogging alot, but then when I actually sit down to compose something~ I got nothing! ;)
So I thought I'd post a few random facts about myself:
I love sunflower seeds(in the shell) and will eat them til my tongue hurts.
I have 4 children that I homeschool ages 7-12. I have always been a relaxed homeschooler, but for our family that time is now over. Waiting to teach and then the kids are "ready" and therefore learn easily has NOT been the case. I just have older kids who don't know basic stuff. I did find that my relaxed approach worked when they went to school briefly. They were very smart at school and learned things easily.Probably because school is more structured than I have been.Esp w/ multiple kids and one that has learning disabilities, I think I just have to teach consistently to make any headway.
I have been married for 14 years to a great guy who works as an environmental chemist. (Would it make you moms out there happy to know my dh does not like to read or write?) He takes days off to teach Elem/middle Chemistry to the kids at co-op.And he makes the lunch that we take to co-op! ;) Really I can't say enough good things about him!!
I go to an awesome church that I plan to write about from time to time. Many times after Sunday service I want to sit down and write out sort of "my response" to the sermon.
Soon I hope to get some pics posted!
